The Iota Mu Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. is otherwise known as The Arlington Sigmas. We are committed to serving our community and empowering it's members through offering educational opportunities, college scholarship opportunities, community building events, youth development programs, and brotherhood for members of our organization.

A core to who we are as an organization we provide opportunities to members to grow academically and professionally. Simultaneously, we provide college scholarships, youth development programs, and community education programs to empower all lives in our community.

Youth Empowerment
Through our Sigma Beta Club, we welcome young men to access academic enrichment, mentoring, business training & development, and health initiatives to help them grow into the leaders of tomorrow.

Our various events throughout the year are focused on uplifting the community. Whether it's through free events for academic enrichment, financial empowerment, celebrations of life or through fundraiser events that support college scholarships provided to local youth seeking to improve their lives and our communities, we have something for almost everyone.

Bigger Better Business
Iota Mu Sigma is dedicated to supporting black-owned businesses through our Bigger Better Business initiative. By improving business processes and allocating funds to patronize these vital enterprises, we foster business growth and sustainability. We also promote Black Owned Businesses through our Barnes Business Directory to discover and connect with the incredible black-owned businesses thriving around you. Education
Education is at the core of the purpose of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. As a chapter of the fraternity, Iota Mu Sigma is dedicated to providing continuing education opportunities to adults via programs that range in topics from financial literacy to health. We also provide opportunities for brothers to gain new skills through their service in the fraternity that can be utilized in other professional settings. Additionally, our education initiatives provide opportunities to youth to improve their future outlook as seen in our Adopt-a-School initiative where we have adopted Peach Elementary to support students in their daily pursuit for knowledge. Social Action
Iota Mu Sigma is dedicated to serving our community through various projects such as blood drives, voter registration drives, health fairs, food banks, and more. Our aim is to balance the playing field of life and serve some of the most vulnerable people within our community who are often ignored. Sigma Beta Club
At Iota Mu Sigma, we are dedicated to empowering young men aged 8 to 18 through our Sigma Beta Club, in partnership with Service 1st Initiatives. Our program is designed to equip youth with essential academic assistance and leadership development skills. We believe in instilling a sense of responsibility towards business ownership, while also emphasizing the significance of saving, investing, and leading a healthy lifestyle. Send Young Leaders to College
Donate via Service 1st Initiatives our 501c(3) non-profit partner to fund the Legacy 1914 Scholarship. With our yearly goal to raise $19,140, we can send hardworking young leaders from Arlington, Grand Prairie, and Mansfield to college to develop the skills they need to secure a brighter future for themselves and our communities.
